Who doesn’t love a good Christmas story?
Oh, there’s always one in the group . . . Well, that’s okay because these prompts can not only be the start of a Christmas classic, but also the spark for that sinister tale that happens to take place under the mistletoe. Hell, one of these could jump start that Christmas screenplay you’ve had in mind. By this time next year, we could all be watching “Miracle in Malibu,” starring Mario Lopez and Tori Spelling on ABC Family. It could happen . . . (and don’t forget about who got you on the road to Christmas Special Stardom).

Have a wonderful holiday and happy writing!
You are awesome, Dean! Well done, as usual.
The string lights hung down from the mantle like a frown. “Now you know why I hate the holidays,” Dave told me. I had just wrapped the last present when the Christmas lights reflected off the makeup mirror Anna pulled from her purse. She dreaded opening the gift from Dave. His Christmas sweater said it all; “Bah Humbug . . . I’m only here for the beer.” A box of candy canes was all that remained on the table, except of course, the 4×4 inch fruitcake that weighed 8 pounds. If the fruitcake could talk, I’m sure it would sound like Dave. “Now you know why I hate the holidays.”
