I had sworn I left the box of razor blades hidden. “You’re a terrible liar,” Adam said. His laugh scared her, like a bad omen. I looked at my twin sister Madison,knowing we only had seconds before the slash marks on our wrists started to bleed through our shirt sleeves.
Only moments earlier, the sisters made a pact to end their miserable lives as witches.
“Come on, get in,” Adam said.
I felt dizzy and looked at Madison. It seemed she didn’t recognize the car, either. I crumpled to the ground.
“Finally, she’s out of the way,” I heard Madison say, right before I passed out.
