Welcome to Wednesday, as well as another edition of “Writing Prompt Wednesday” where I hope to get you over the weekly hump and into the land of writing. Try these on for size:
- “Next!” the woman behind the glass yelled
- The house made her feel . . .
- “You’ll want to step back . . .”
- Meg saw it before I did.
- The empty bottle . . .
- Robert felt the effects immediately.
- He picked her for a reason.
- She’d seen him [fill in the blank activity] a thousand times. This time . . .
Happy writing!
Meg saw it before I did. Robert felt the effects of the empty bottle immediately. She’d seen him drunk a thousand times. This time the house made her feel drunk, too. “You’ll want to step back, NOW! “I screamed at Meg. She jumped and avoided the blade of the ax as it swiped the air where she had been standing. He had picked her for a reason, a reason unclear to me. “Next!” the woman from behind the glass yelled. I wished I wasn’t next in line.
Bravo, Dean! And it’s not even 8 a.m.! Congrats on picking up on my strategically-selected prompts . . . okay, not really; I had no idea they could be so masterly strung together. Nicely done.
